Surgitrac Instruments is accredited to Level 3 Labour Standards Assurance System (LSAS) following an independent audit.
LSAS is designed to reduce the incidence of labour standards abuses in the medical supply industry.
Surgitrac’s annual independent audit, is carried out by SGS UK – the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company.
SGS audits and awards against 15 separate criteria such as documentation, supply chain management and operational control.
Surgitrac’s systems and procedures, scored at least Level 3 on each category and exceed in six areas that met the required standards for LSAS Level 4.
Lynn Ogden, Internal Sales Manager and Bid Co-ordinator said:
“This is another fantastic achievement for Surgitrac that will further bolster its NHS framework and tender applications, not only does Surgitrac exceed the NHS Supply Chain’s minimum, Level 2 standards for LSA, it exceeds in all areas.”
Companies that supply to the National Health Service (NHS) Supply Chain must ensure the use of fair labour in their supply chain.
The LSAS was developed by NHS Supply Chain, the Department of Health and other industry bodies to guide companies in this fair labour process. The system uses a maturity matrix consisting of four levels of compliance companies can achieve, each with its own set of actionable steps.
