Surgitrac® Instruments’ CIPS sustainability score soars

Surgitrac Instruments scores 81% on the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Sustainability Index (CSI).

The CIPS Sustainability Index (CSI)
 is an independent, cross-sector financial, social and environmental supplier audit.

It is the only independent and verified measurement tool available.

It allows NHS suppliers to prove their sustainability credentials, and for NHS buyers to obtain essential sustainability information in a more efficient way than via individual and lengthy questionnaires. As a buyer, CSI gives you a better view of your supply chain and reduces your supplier risk and as a supplier, CSI helps demonstrate excellence in sustainability to industry-approved levels.

The CSI index scores separately against three sustainability pillars:

  • Social;
  • Economic and;
  • Environmental.

Surgitrac’s average score, across the three criteria, is 81%. The company scored particularly well against the “Social” pillar, which specifically looks at policy statements, codes of conduct, and staff processes; such as employment training, working environments, and activity around preventing modern slavery.

The CIPS Sustainability is a collaboration between the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, the University of West England (UWE) and PRGX. Find out more about CIPS sustainability index here: https://cips-sustainabilityindex.com/
