Supported by Surgitrac Instruments, on 11th February, Sheffield Teaching Hospital Trust hosted an intensive Oculo-Plastics Training Course, providing invaluable hands-on experience for trainees, clinical specialist nurses, and medical students. Held in the hospital’s impressive facilities, the training included a wet lab session using pig heads to simulate real-life surgical conditions.
Run by experienced consultants, the course focused on crucial aspects of oculo-plastics procedures, including advanced suturing techniques and the removal of the contents of the eye. This practical approach allowed participants to refine their skills in common oculo-plastics procedures, essential for anyone pursuing a career in ophthalmology.
Sheffield Teaching Hospital Trust continues to be at the forefront of medical education, offering high-quality training opportunities to healthcare professionals.
